Under the theme "Where Automation Meets Machining Excellence," the CHIRON Group is set to present its latest automation solutions and machining centers at the OPEN HOUSE 2026 event, taking place from April 21 to 23 in Tuttlingen, Germany. This event aims to demonstrate how manufacturers can enhance productivity, flexibility, and autonomy in their production processes.
A standout feature will be the Variocell SYSTEM equipped with a Gantry Bot, designed for efficient handling of large workpieces. This gantry automation system offers advantages such as an extended reach compared to traditional industrial robots, while ensuring flexibility and precision. Its overhead loading capability optimizes workspace and enhances safety for operators and maintenance personnel.
Additionally, the CHIRON Group will introduce three automation solutions for the Micro5 XL, recognized for its micromachining capabilities. Each solution maximizes storage capacity within a compact footprint and is ready for immediate integration with the Micro5 XL. The Variocell PICK&PLACE system, for instance, effectively manages both raw and finished parts using a double gripper, showcasing its versatility in a live production environment.
The MT 715 machine variants will also be featured, providing a flexible milling-turning solution suitable for small and medium-sized series. This machine can handle workpieces weighing up to 65 kg and includes an integrated linear handling system for automated workpiece changes. The MT 715 is capable of machining longer shaft parts and integrates various machining processes to enhance overall productivity.
CHIRON's emphasis on 5-axis machining, termed 5Xcellence, will be highlighted through demonstrations at the event. This approach focuses on efficiently machining complex geometries in a single setup, reducing setup times while ensuring high precision and surface quality.
Attendees at the OPEN HOUSE will have the opportunity to explore these advanced systems firsthand, gaining insights into the future of manufacturing where automation and machining excellence converge.
