OPEN MIND Technologies, a key player in the CAD/CAM software sector, is preparing to present its hyperMILL® 2025 software suite at the upcoming Manufacturing Technology Series East, previously known as EASTEC. The event is scheduled for May 13 to 15, 2025, at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA, where OPEN MIND will be located at Booth #5228.

Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to explore various enhancements in hyperMILL® 2025, particularly focusing on advancements in 5-axis machining and deburring strategies. A notable feature is the new automatic tool orientation mode, which optimizes machining processes by pre-analyzing tool paths, thereby simplifying the programming of complex components and reducing the time and inputs needed for 5-axis operations.

hyperMILL® 2025 also introduces an efficient 5-axis hole deburring strategy that automatically identifies holes in the model, facilitating precise selection of sharp edges for deburring. This feature supports both 3-axis and 5-axis modes, increasing the flexibility of the deburring process.

Another significant enhancement is the redevelopment of the pocket milling algorithm for high feed cutters, aimed at improving efficiency during roughing operations while providing better control over machining, especially for large lateral in-feeds and remaining material. Users will benefit from customizable contour and path radii, leading to improved toolpath rounding.

Additionally, the hyperMILL® VIRTUAL Machining Optimizer has been enhanced with Dynamic Stock technology, which accurately reflects stock conditions in the linking movements of machining jobs. This feature automatically generates updated stock information, contributing to greater efficiency in the machining process.
