The National Centre for Industry 4.0 Partnerships is set to host a workshop on robotic 3D printing and process monitoring on March 25, 2026, at the CIIRC CTU in Prague. This event targets end-users of additive technologies, technologists, developers, and industry professionals engaged in the design and implementation of additive manufacturing processes.
Participants will delve into various techniques, including Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), Laser Metal Deposition (LMD), and Plastic Extrusion Modelling (PEM). The workshop will feature presentations from research teams at RICAIP Testbed Prague, alongside developers and technical experts from prominent Czech and European companies specializing in robotic additive manufacturing systems.
The workshop aims to present technical solutions, share practical experiences, and discuss current trends in robotic additive manufacturing, covering aspects from simulations and digital modeling to process monitoring and quality assurance. The event will focus on the principles of solutions, system architecture, and the utilization of process data, while also addressing the limitations of the technologies involved.
Attendees will acquire essential technical knowledge in robotic additive manufacturing, observe real systems in operation at the testbed, and participate in professional discussions free from marketing distractions. This hands-on format allows for direct engagement with functional technologies at the RICAIP Testbed, facilitating discussions on specific technical details, data, and operational experiences.
